Deputy President William Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto Wednesday said he is willing to record a
statement over the murder of businessman Jacob Juma.
Mr Ruto was responding to allegations by former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo
and a tweet from Juma's twitter account during an interview with Citizen
TV on Tuesday night.
"I want to tell Kenyans and the country that I had nothing to do with
the life and death of Jacob Juma," he said, adding that those who killed
the businessman would be brought to book.
"Maybe you should look for time to get Mr Jirongo here so that he can
tell the country what he means," the DP said.

"Whenever the police want my statement, I will give it freely any day,
any time and anywhere," he said.
"I am a law-abiding citizen and I want to help in getting to the bottom
of this death and indeed of any Kenyan."

divert the country's attention from issue-based politics.
